University-of-Bedfordshire-Theatre/Bedford-Film-Society Covid 19 and Fire Protection Policy COVID 19 In line with the theatre's requirements to keep users of the theatre safe and the measures which the BFS committee wish to have in place as safeguards are as follows:- - The auditorium will be sanitised before members arrive for a screening (the society will be charged for this measure) - Hand sanitisers will be available for use on entry - We will recommend that face masks be worn in the reception area - We will advise that on entry members will take their seats in the auditorium as directly as possible. - We recommend that when seated, providing space allows, that groups or individuals leave a seat vacant between themselves and other groups or individuals. - We will not use return/comment slips next season so that people can leave directly. - Should anyone feel at all unwell they should not attend a screening. - Should anyone who is tested positive for Covid 19 after a screening we would ask strongly that they inform a committee member (email and telephone numbers are available) and we will email and inform all members that they need to be tested. - Guests/non-members who have not attended with a member will be required to leave contact details at the reception desk. FIRE SAFETY The theatre management have introduced a Fire Emergency Plan - Events and Public Performances procedure. How it affects the society is as follows. - The committee will provide two fire marshals during each screening. They will be acquainted with the best fire exits to use in an emergency and will direct members of the audience to them. - There are two exits on either side of the stage and there is also the entrance to the auditorium. The audience will be marshalled down from the seating to avoid the dangers of evacuation to a higher level. - The assembly point is in quadrangle at the front of the Campus Centre.
